2014 NMC Technology Outlook for International Schools in Asia

The NMC, in collaboration with Concordia International School Shanghai and NIST International School in Bangkok released the 2014 NMC Technology Outlook > International Schools in Asia at a special session of the Learning 2.0 Asia conference in Bangkok. This is the first edition of the NMC Technology Outlook that explores technology uptake in international primary and secondary schools throughout Asia.

The New Media Consortium (NMC) in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences (HTW) Chur, the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB), Hannover, and ETH-Bibliothek Zurich are releasing the NMC Horizon Report > 2014 Library Edition at a special session of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress 80th General Conference and Assembly.

NMC and CoSN Release the NMC Horizon Report > 2014 K-12 Edition

The NMC and the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), with the support of HP, are releasing the NMC Horizon Report > 2014 K-12 Edition at a special session at the 2014 NMC Summer Conference in Portland, Oregon. This sixth K-12 edition describes annual findings from the NMC Horizon Project, an ongoing research project designed to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have an impact on teaching, learning, and creative inquiry in education.

The NMC and EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) jointly released the NMC Horizon Report > 2014 Higher Education Edition at a special session at the ELI Annual Meeting 2014. This eleventh edition describes annual findings from the NMC Horizon Project, an ongoing research project designed to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have an impact on learning, teaching, and creative inquiry in education.

Participate in the ELI "NMC Horizon Report" Video Competition!

New to the ELI Annual Meeting this year is the Horizon Report Video Competition in partnership with us, the NMC. We want to hear from you!

To participate in the competition, just submit a short (1-2 minute) video describing how your project applies to one of the six technologies in the NMC Horizon Report > 2014 Higher Education Edition to teaching, learning, and creative inquiry.

It's Here! The NMC Horizon Report > 2013 Museum Edition

The New Media Consortium (NMC) produced the NMC Horizon Report > 2013 Museum Edition, which is being released in a special session at MCN 2013. This fourth edition in the annual museum series of the NMC Horizon Report examines emerging technologies for their potential impact on and use in museum education and interpretation. The report is made possible through the support of the Marcus Institute for Digital Education in the Arts (MIDEA).
