Meet the 13 Year-Old Winner of the NMC Creativity Award

At the NMC, we are proud to promote work that helps bridge the gap between the arts and sciences. This Summer, we partnered with Humans in Space Art -- a program of NASA, the DLR (German Aerospace Center), Universities Space Research Association, and Lunar Planetary Institute -- on a friendly competition where K-12 students are leading the way: The Humans in Space Art K-12 Showcase, featuring the NMC Creativity Award.

Announcing NMC Horizon Report Portuguese Translations

The New Media Consortium has released two Portuguese translations for two editions in the NMC Horizon Report series at the 19th International Congress on Distance Education in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. These translations are made possible through a collaboration between the NMC, Colégio Bandeirantes, and Bandtec.

It's Here! The NMC Horizon Report > 2013 K-12 Edition

The New Media Consortium, the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), with the support of HP, produced the NMC Horizon Report > 2013 K-12 Edition, which was released in a special session at the NMC Summer Conference.

The NMC Launches the ‘NMC Commons’ — A Global Online Community

The New Media Consortium launched the NMC Commons, a private online community that fuels productivity and enables NMC’s global membership to collaborate and communicate seamlessly. NMC partner, Enterprise Hive, developed this new platform, using their HiveSocial™ social business software. Through the NMC Commons, members will also have access to the most relevant education technology content in real-time.

The NMC Horizon EdTech Weekly App for Android Devices

The NMC launched the NMC Horizon EdTech Weekly App for Android devices. Since February 2012 this app has been available for iOS devices and, by popular demand, is now available for 99¢ download in the Google Marketplace.

The NMC Horizon Report > 2013 Higher Ed Edition is Here!

The New Media Consortium and EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) have jointly released the NMC Horizon Report > 2013 Higher Education Edition. This tenth edition describes annual findings from the NMC Horizon Project, a decade-long research project designed to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have an impact on learning, teaching, and creative inquiry in education.
