It's Here! The NMC Horizon Report > 2014 Higher Education Edition

The NMC and EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) jointly released the NMC Horizon Report > 2014 Higher Education Edition at a special session at the ELI Annual Meeting 2014. This eleventh edition describes annual findings from the NMC Horizon Project, an ongoing research project designed to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have an impact on learning, teaching, and creative inquiry in education.

Participate in the ELI "NMC Horizon Report" Video Competition!

New to the ELI Annual Meeting this year is the Horizon Report Video Competition in partnership with us, the NMC. We want to hear from you!

To participate in the competition, just submit a short (1-2 minute) video describing how your project applies to one of the six technologies in the NMC Horizon Report > 2014 Higher Education Edition to teaching, learning, and creative inquiry.

The 2014 Horizon Project Higher Education Advisory Board has just concluded their voting and the results are in! We now have the official list of six "Important Developments in Educational Technology" that will appear in the upcoming NMC Horizon Report > 2014 Higher Education Edition, as showcased in the official Preview PDF. This project is a collaborative effort between the NMC and the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI).

The New Media Consortium (NMC) has released the NMC Horizon Report > 2012 Higher Education Edition. This ninth edition describes annual findings from the NMC Horizon Project, a decade-long research project designed to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have an impact on learning, teaching, and creative inquiry in higher education.
