As Vice President of Adobe’s Education organization, Jon Perera is responsible for the company’s strategy across both K-12 as well as higher education.   Adobe is focused on unleashing the creativity of students and educators around the world.  Adobe’s education programs focus on digital story-telling, video creation, digital photography, video-game development, and the usage of digital creative tools across curriculum. Today, more than 45,000 educators are part of the Adobe Education Exchange which provides free resources and learning materials for 21st century skills.  More than 300,000 students have taken the Adobe Certified Associate exam to gain skills needed for jobs.

Mr. Perera has more has spent almost 20 years in the software industry in a variety of business strategy, technical and international positions.   Prior to Adobe, he served as general manager for Microsoft’s Education Strategy Group. He recently served as a member of the board of the Technology Access Foundation, which is working to help children of color in public schools become college-ready for STEM-related fields. Perera holds a bachelor’s degree in Literature from Wesleyan University.
